Prompt tips that make a real difference
- Name one main genre and at most one blend (“lo-fi hip-hop”, “Afrobeats pop”). Too many genres muddy the result.
- Give a tempo in BPM. It controls the energy more reliably than words like “fast”.
- List 2–4 instruments. The first ones you name tend to lead the mix.
- Say what it is for. “For a podcast intro” or “seamless game loop” shapes the structure and length.
- Vocals or not? Write “instrumental, no vocals” explicitly when you need background music.
