Claude-Mem is an open-source persistent memory compression system for coding agents. It captures session work, compresses it, and injects relevant context into later sessions. Common pitfalls

npm install -g claude-mem installs the SDK only — it does not register plugin hooks or the worker service.
On Windows, if hooks say claude-mem is not in PATH, run npx claude-mem doctor and restart the terminal (installer places a launcher under %LOCALAPPDATA%\claude-mem\bin).
Prefer skipping account sign-in in CI with an explicit --provider flag or CLAUDE_MEM_ONLINE_OPTIN=false.
