Download ArtCraft: Official Windows and macOS Install Guide
ArtCraft is a free, open-source desktop creative suite (Windows and macOS) from Storyteller.ai / getartcraft.com. The only safe download is the official Download page at getartcraft.com/download (desktop build listed as v0.41.0 when we checked on October 13, 2026) or the ArtCraft Launcher releases on the official GitHub org storytold. Do not use third-party “ArtCraft download” mirrors — alpha builds change often and unofficial packages are a malware risk.

Install steps
Windows
- Open the official Download page (or the Launcher releases on GitHub).
- Download the Windows installer (
.exe/.msi). Prefer the current-user MSI when offered — no admin rights needed. - Run the installer. If Windows SmartScreen warns on a brand-new alpha build, verify the URL is still
getartcraft.comorgithub.com/storytold/…before continuing. - Launch ArtCraft (or ArtCraft Launcher), create a free account or sign in if prompted, and start a project.
macOS
- Download the universal
.dmgfrom the official Download page or Launcher releases. - Open the disk image and drag the app into Applications.
- On first launch, approve it in System Settings → Privacy & Security if macOS Gatekeeper asks (official builds are signed and notarized per the Launcher README).
- Open the app and sign in if you want cloud AI credits; local editing does not require a paid plan.

Is ArtCraft free?
The apps are free and open source. Generative AI credits inside ArtCraft can be purchased or brought from your own provider; there is no Adobe-style Creative Cloud seat required to edit locally.

The official installer that installs the Crafting Apps suite (PhotoCraft, PdfCraft, FilmCraft, and more) and keeps them updated. It is separate from the ArtCraft AI canvas desktop app on the main download page.
Is there a browser version?
Yes. getartcraft.com offers a web build, and several Crafting Apps also compile to WebAssembly so you can try them without installing.
